- The aim of the course is to expose the students to various types of authentic legal texts - both written and oral.

- Topics for reading comprehension, assisted discussion and terminology 1. Introduction: programme of the course, literature, Masaryk University, Faculty of Law in Brno 2. Legal studies in Germany, the act on education of lawyers 3. Legal professions 4. Essential concepts of law 5. Fundamental rights - the rights of citizens, human rights, the right to liberty 6. The Constitution of Germany 7. The Constitution of Austria, The Constitution of Switzerland 8. State authorities of Germany - the Bundestag, the Bundesrat, Federal President, the Federal Government, the Federal Constitutional Court 9. Civil law - natural and artificial persons (legal entities), legal title to rights and duties, legal capacity 10. Civil law - legal acts, contract 11. Civil law - declaration of intention 12. Final test (vocabulary, grammar, knowledge)
