Course objectives
This subject is conceived as a practical one. It belongs to fundamental subject complex of clinical midwifery. Application of theoretical knowledge in clinical workstations conditions is enabled. Students are led to independent, active and conscious care for women during pregnancy, childbirth and childbed. Problems of midwifery process in care for woman and newborn are covered. Students have to log all services into their logbook. Theoretical lessons are followed with trainee-ship on stated department and students work on determined state report and create nursing plan. Objectives: Students will be able to: - to identify individual bio-psycho- socio-spiritual needs with using of diagnostic algorithm - to propose, execute and evaluate effectivity of nursing plan in cooperation with multidisciplinary team - to work with documentation - to be professional and emphatic to the client - to find the latest knowledge of midwifery and to apply it in practice

Practical training, trainiong with simulators. Active work with documentation. Teaching schedule includes teaching and learning with students of clinical cases.
