Course objectives
Both tuition and the studies are aimed at acquiring the thinking of modern education science in the systemic context of educational and pedagogical phenomena. Emphasis is laid on interactive and communicative aspects of educational and pedagogical work, on the development of activity, independence, and creativity of the students. The students are stimulated to be open to innovation, experimenting, and further improvement of instruction. The students will acquire alternative approaches to developing a curriculum, to methods of instruction, and to putting into use modern didactic techniques. They learn to understand the basic didactic situations, to see them in mutual connections, and to master the elementary didactic skills.
Learning outcomes
At the end of the course the student will be able to understand the basic terminology of the subject, explain the relationships and connections between particular aspects of the subject, use the information acquired in the subject to expand one’s own perspective of the issues studied and create a database of basic technical terms and their mutual relationships.
