Syllabus
  • In the subject „Practice in optics“ are students devoted to production and repairs of optical aids under the inspection of qualified optician and are acquainted with the way of optician management. They verified their theoretical and practical knowledge from education in the real practice.

Assessment methods

A prerequisite for access to the credit is the correct measurement of optical power and other optical parameters of optical correction aids. In the last block of practice, the student determines the parameters for 5 correction aids in a time up to 30 minutes. The credit consists of grinding spectacle lenses to frames according to the assignment, glasses repair, fulfillment of prescription, filliing in the contracts. All within 3 hours (180 minutes).
