- Course objectives
- The aim of the course is the area of health promotion and disease prevention. Attention is paid to the correct identification of factors with the potential to positively influence health, especially behavioural factors. The possibilities of public health promotion are explained. The importance and effect of different lifestyle components are described. The importance of the quality of evidence and the principles of EBD in general are emphasised. Options for prevention of the most important non-communicable diseases are described and explained.
- Learning outcomes
- The student will explain the principles and possibilities of public health promotion.
The student will describe the effect and importance of each of the major components of a lifestyle.
The student will make recommendations regarding individual lifestyle factors.
