- Course objectives
- After completion of the course student: understands the basis of molecular and comparative analyses used in medicine and biomedical research; is able to explain the principle of basic methods and their application; is able to judge their relevance for individualized medicine. Student is also able to possibly apply this knowledge and skills in his/her future scientific research.

- Seminar attendance is mandatory. Students continue with following subjects without proof of this semester's knowledge. The subject is followed by Biology II-lecture (VSBI0222p) that ends up with a written examination test covering the knowledge of all Biology topics from both semesters (lectures, seminars, practices).
