Course objectives
The course is based on the interactivity between teacher students. Student based on lectures and studying corresponding literature: - Be able to interpret the basic issues of multicultural / transcultural nursing; - Will be able to use the acquired knowledge in clinical practice
Syllabus
  • - Introduction to transcultural nursing - the importance of transcultural nursing, assumptions and factors that affect it. - The history of the development of multicultural/transcultural nursing in the Czech Republic and abroad. - Basic terminology. - Legislative framework. - Migration, international protection, asylum and detention centers. - Ethical aspects and communication in transcultural nursing. - The nursing process in transcultural nursing. - Transcultural nursing versus spirituality and spiritual needs. - Theories and conceptual models in transcultural nursing: - Ethnic minorities and ethnic groups living in the Czech Republic.

The course is completed by colloquium, which will be granted on the basis of the submission of a written seminar papers processed per semester by the tutor (processing certain national, ethnic or religious groups, notes the seminar work will be accessible in the information system under study materials)
