- Course objectives
- At the end of the course students will know the principles of drug prescription. They will be able to describe possibilities of pharmacological approaches towards Parkinson´s and Meniere´s diseases and myasthenia gravis. Students will be able to provide pharmacological characteristics of analgesics, antiinflammatory drugs, antiuratics, myorelaxants and local anesthetics.
- Learning outcomes
- Students will know the principles of drug prescription. They will be able to describe possibilities of pharmacological approaches towards Parkinson´s and Meniere´s diseases and myasthenia gravis. Students will be able to provide pharmacological characteristics of analgesics, antiinflammatory drugs, antiuratics, myorelaxants and local anesthetics.
- Syllabus
- 1st lesson: Drug forms and routes of administration. Drugs databases and handbooks (SÚKL database, Pharmindex, AISLP, etc.). Legislation of drug prescription, prescription of narcotic and psychotropic agents.
- 2nd lesson: Therapy of Parkinson disease, Menier disease, myasthenia gravis, spasms and dyskinesia.
- 3rd lesson: Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, therapy of rheumatic diseases. Antiuratics. Anodynes.
- 4th lesson: Myorelaxants. Local anaesthetics. Credits. Organisation of colloquium term.
