- Course objectives
- Student is able to:
- Define, describe and list the knowledge and skills to provide first aid.
- Interpret basic knowledge of first aid principles the sudden health disorders.
- Demonstrate the organization of first aid on the spot where the disability occurred ;
- Demonstrate basic skills transporting the wounded, bandaging techniques and kardiopulmocerebrální resuscitation.
- Identify and explain the basic signs of life
- Perform basic resuscitation on the model according to ERC from 2010
- Demonstrate the model including first aid wound treatment, monitor the condition of the wounded. - Learning outcomes
- Student is able to:
- Define, describe and enumerate knowledge and skills for providing pre-medical first aid.
- to interpret basic knowledge of first aid principles for sudden health problems.
- Demonstrate first aid organization at the place where the disability occurred;
- demonstrate basic wound transport, dressing techniques and cardiopulmo-cerebral resuscitation.
- Recognize and explain the basic signs of life, monitor the state of the injured. - Syllabus
- - classification, basic rules in first aid, legal matters, assessment, examination, basic physiological functions.
- - rescue procedure, basic medical positions, transport, types of wounds, defining criteria, treatment.
- - types of bandage, bandage application, first aid kit.
- - resuscitation, phases, new approaches to CPR, artificial ventilation tools, CPR in children and adults, signs of death.
- - shock, symptoms, treatment, bleeding, types of shock.
- - burns, inhalation trauma, cold injuries, hypothermia, frostbites, acid burns, lye burns.
- - electrical injuries, drowning, suffocation, intoxication.
- - joint injuries, bone injuries, diagnosis, treatment.
- - head injuries, spinal injuries, chest injuries, abdominal injuries.
- - first aid of heart failure, first aid of apoplexy, abdominal emergency, convulsions.
