Course objectives
The main objectives of the course are:
- acquiring theoretical knowledge about the organization and importance of psychiatric care in physiotherapy
- acquiring theoretical knowledge about psychiatric disorders
- acquiring theoretical knowledge about the solution of acute psychiatric conditions
- acquiring theoretical knowledge about possible pharmacological and non-pharmacological procedures for the treatment of psychiatric disorders with regard to physiotherapy
Learning outcomes
Upon completion of the course the student will be able to:
- understand the organization and use of psychiatric care for physiotherapy practice
- describe and recognize symptoms of the most common psychiatric disorders
- design a suitable physiotherapeutic procedure in patients with psychiatric disorders
- design a suitable physiotherapeutic procedure for restless patients

Attendance at classes.
One absence is allowed.
In the case of 2 and 3 absences, including excused absences due to health reasons, the student will be required to prepare a seminar paper of 1000 - 1500 words on the topic of the seminar the student was absent from.
The student will have to prepare a seminar paper for each such absence.
In the case of 4 or more absences, the student did not meet the requirements for completing the course.
After completing the seminars, the student will have to pass an exam. The exam takes the form of an online written test.
This is a test with the choice of one correct answer.
The test has 10 questions, in order to successfully pass the test, the student must answer at least 6 questions correctly.
If the above requirements for completing the subject are not met, the student will have to repeat the subject in the following school year.

Classes in the fall semester 2022 take place every Monday from 11:00 a.m. to 11:50 a.m. in a smaller auditorium (no. 136) in the 1st floor of the Psychiatric Clinic, building G.

The auditorium is located immediately to the left of the main entrance to the Psychiatric Clinic.
