- Course objectives
- The aim goal of course is to give an idea of Asia and Africa as operating systems, regional units and different dimensions and hierarchical classification based on natural and corresponding economic and social parameters. Students have in regional geography of this regions exhibit art of composing partial component information and factual localized information to include in their context.
- Learning outcomes
- At the end of this course the student will be able to: - Explain basic approaches to macro-regionalization. - Use the information obtained from the partial objects SG and FG integrated and explain their influence on the properties of the region. - Interpret knowledge through analytical and spatial thinking. - Describe the impact of natural conditions on the spatial distribution of population and economic activity. - Students demonstrate knowledge of the natural conditions, historical development and deployment of economic activities by the World Atlas. - Evaluate the formulation of expected outcomes in terms of FEP.

- 1. Approaches of regional geography to the definition of world macro-regions. Basic characteristics of the continent, relative, absolute position and regionalization of the continent. 2. Current topics on examples of model regions mainly from the viewpoint of political and culutral geography.

- Assessment methods
- Active participation in the lectures and the presentation of specific topic, knowledge test and topography. By the presentation student should be able to present his knowledge about world regions as the systems of regional units in different dimensions and hierarchical inclusion based on natural and relevant economic and social parameters. Student proves the ability to assemble the partial component information and factual located information and put them into context.
