- Course objectives
- The course is designed as the introduction to children’s literature and its relationship with primary education. The aim of the course is:
1) to explore characteristic genres of children’s literature such as poetry, fairy tales, picture books, adventure stories
2) to introduce some typical themes and conventions associated with children’s literature
3) to develop in students the ability to read children’s literature critically
4) to provide theoretical background for using children’s literature in the classroom
5) to stimulate students to become avid readers - Syllabus
