Course objectives
Students schould be know: The characteristic of the childhood (from the birth to pre-school age), growing disorders, general principles of the psychic development, disability as a psychological problem, family of child with disability, disability as a problematic situation, early intervention, pedagogical counseling, game and its evaluation, drawing as a diagnostic tool, conception and aim of the pre-school education.
Syllabus
  • 1. The characteristic of the childhood: new born, characteristic, various levels live out experience, environment, problematic adaptation, recommendations. 2. Risk infant: causes, performance, prognosis. 3. The characteristic of the childhood: infant developmental changes, pre-verbal period, quality of orientation, live out experience, social influence, current troubles, and educational tasks. 4. The characteristic of the childhood: toddler motor development, speech development, cognition and its development, emotions and self-perception, environment and psychic, educational problems, recommendations. 5. The characteristic of the childhood: pre-school period, motor development, speech development, cognition and its development, social behavior, adaptation, educational troubles, school mature, educational approaches. 6. Sudden situations in the childhood period: hyperpyxia, spasms, headache, shock. 7. Growing disturbances: causes, characteristics. 8. General principles of the psychic development: factors of interaction, time sequence, qualitative changes, the dynamics of factors of the psychic changes. 9. Disability as an educational problem: child’s reaction on his own illness or disability. 10. Family of the child with disability: parent’s reactions, brothers and sisters of the child with disability. 11. Disability as a problematic situation: general conception, techniques of active solution, escapes techniques. 12. Early intervention: service, organization, team work, support towards child, support towards the family. 13. Pedagogical counseling: aims, competencies, rules, profile of counselor. 14. Pedagogical counseling: methods, forms and tools aimed on the early stages of development and pre-school period. 15. Game and its evaluation: game as the tool of diagnostic, different types of games and its quality, evaluation by special needs teacher. 16. Drawing as a diagnostic situation: development of drawing, developmental stages of drawing figure, observation and evaluation, methods in practice. 17. Conception and aims of the pre-school education: tasks, specifics, methods and forms of work. 18. Conception and aims of the pre-school education: frame aims, key competencies 19. Content of the Frame educational program: conception and educational areas. 20. Educational area: the child and the body: partial aims, education, outcomes, risks of educational conceptions. 21. Child and psychic: partial aims, education, outcomes, risks of educational conceptions. 22. Educational area: The child and the other: partial aims, education, expected outcomes, risks of educational conceptions. 23. Educational area: The child and the society: partial aims, education, expected outcomes, risks of educational conceptions. 24. Educational area: The child and the world: partial aims, education, expected outcomes, risks of educational conceptions. 25.
