- Course objectives
- Main objectives can be summarized as follows (1) to be able to prepare plant material for observations; (2) to practically recognize major determination and evolution characteristics of vascular plants; (3) to identify common Czech plants; (4) to apply these skills in the preparation of a plant collection; (5) to know the basic methods used in botany.

- 4. Polypodiophyta
- 5. Pinophyta I
- 6. Pinophyta II
- 7. – 14. Magnoliophyta similarities and differences among plant families (Ranunculaceae, Fagaceae, Caryophylleaceae, Brassicaceae, Rosaceae, Fabaceae, Apiaceae, Lamiaceae, Scrophulariaceae, Solanaceae, Boraginaceae, Asteraceae, Liliaceae, Poaceae, Cyperaceae).

- lab practicals collection og 50 properly preserved, documented and identified specimens of native or naturalized (not cultivated) flowering plants of the Czech Republic. More complete instructions for collection, preservation and labeling will be given during lab.
