Course objectives
Student will get acquainted with specific needs of young language learners. At the end of the course students should be able to design adequate types of activities for young learners. Studnets will be able to get and give feedback and to reflect their own teaching.
Learning outcomes
Students are able to conduct lessons in English and use classroom English in different stages of the lesson; simplify classroom instructions and reformulate them with respect to their pupils' age and language development; reflect on their teaching, examine their experience and use it for evaluation and action; give and get constructive feedback, react positively to feedback and act accordingly; plan suitable activities for their pupils and instruct them in the target language.
Syllabus
  • Classroom language in different situations and stages of the lesson. Lesson planning using coursebooks for young learners. Lesson planning with suplementary materials and realia. constructive and supportive feedback. Microteaching. Teaching portfolio. Creating materials and their evaluation.
