Course objectives
Individual and consulted assignment of the dominant topic with great emphasis on the current ability of the student. The theme is assigned based on a portfolio review and performance evaluation from the previous semester. Figurative and abstract painting. Combined techniques with paint overhang, assemblages, mosaics, or other border processes are accepted. Inspired by contemporary art. Creativity development. Custom seminars offer the opportunity to deepen the necessary painting skills in relation to the chosen topic and the material used. During the course of the semester there will be three compulsory consultations to demonstrate the development of the topic or its eventual transformation.
Learning outcomes
The student is able to create a series of paintings based on the chosen and consulted theme. The student can work with inspiration sources. The student is oriented in a technological and material environment.
Syllabus
  • Directly following the subject of Painting 1, the student further develops his painting skills and skills. Activities are extensively extended to work with the topic, its transformation and the acquisition of inspirational resources.

Assessment methods
• commission examination

Requirements for commission examination:
• Presenting the project outputs according to the individually chosen topic in the scope and material of the appropriate assignment.
• Short written defense of the project.
• Electronic art painting test (students have an e-learning course on Painting Technology).

In case of insufficient level of the submitted project, students' painting skills will be additionally verified in the form of painting according to the model.
