Course objectives
The discussed issues, including some final work proposals, require thorough knowledge as they evoke rather abstract concepts. The essays of the students are trained according a French model and are focused towards general (philosophical) tractates. At the end of this course, students should be able: to comprehend articles and reports on contemporary issues in French-speaking countries; tu interpret these texts in written form; to improve the argumentation via more-complex text studies.

Les échanges culturels : enrichissement ou perte? 8. Les rôles de l’image et de l’écrit dans la presse (cf Luc Ferry in la sagesse des modernes, 1998). 9. L’égalité d’instruction (cf Condorcet in Progrès de l'esprit humain, 1793).

Workshop Ending: examination. Requirements for ending: meet the workshop requirements and the active participation (70%). Test (as a successful test is considered one with at least 70 % right answers).
