Course objectives
The goal of the subject is to increase and to practise practical knowledge of the language, as well as to train the oral and written communication. Lessons focus on increasing of communicative skills by having discussions and dialogues in the ambit of actual conversational topics. The basic component of the subject is to improve the oral speach on the phonetic, lexical and grammatical aspects. The students will improve their reading and listening skills at work with Russian texts and actual periodicals.
Syllabus
  • The course focuses on improving communicative skills by discussions and dialogues within actual conversation topics (with using Russian periodics, newspapers and Internet).
  • 1. Education system in Czech universities. 2. Education system in Russian universities. 3. Teacher. Mission of the teacher. 4. My ideas about the future teacher profession. 5. Art in the life of present youth. 6. Contemporary world and national musical scene. What kind of music do You listen? 7. Russian music scene. Classical and modern music. Alternative trends.

Teaching methods
Student must actively participate in the class, regulary prepare home assignments. Reading and listening Russian texts are recommended.
Assessment methods
Seminar: Attendance 80% (two absences are allowed). Attendance is required also for these students who has the subject registered as repeated. To obtain the credit the student must write an essay on the given topic (deadline is the last lesson).
