- Course objectives
- Practice and fixation of printing and writing form of Russian alphabet, pronunciation, and intonation. Improvement of reading and listening skills, and basic oral and written expression. Introduction to new lexical stock and basics of Russian grammar. Work with CDs and DVDs.

- Teaching methods
- Instruction - two-hour seminary. Students work up homework and within an individual work they elaborate lexical excercises and essays during the study. Students work individually. Materials for students will be located on information system from the beginning of semester. They continuously read Russian texts.
- Assessment methods
- Written final test (study material 1.- 5.lesson of textbook). 75% of correct answers is needed to pass.
