Student, who choose this subject has to: 1. pass subject Komunikace jedinců se sluchovým postižením 2. command visual communication systems - Czech sign language in the range of tutorial Langer, J., Ptáček, V., Dvořák, K. Znaková zásoba českého znakového jazyka k rozšiřujícímu studiu surdopedie se zaměřením na znakový jazyk. Olomouc: UP PdF, 2004, ISBN 80-244-0846-5.
Course Enrolment Limitations
The course is offered to students of any study field.
Course objectives
At the end of the course student should be able to understand communication forms of deaf persons. Student will be able use visual communication systems - sign language and finger spelling.
Syllabus
  • At the end of the course student should be able to understand following fields: organizations helping people with hearing impairment, hearing disorders, classification, prevention, individual speciality, history of care of people with hearing impairment, psychological peculiarities of people with hearing disabilities, principles and work methods, technical aids, various ways of communication, sign language, interpreting, total communication, bilingual methods, specifics of work with people with hearing impairment and deaf people, early intervention, educational proces, condition of integration, employ and special care, deafblindness.
