Course objectives
At the end of this course, a student will be able to understand the areas of multi-culture education. Based on this knowledge, he/she will be able to interpret individual topics and apply them into separate activities of MV. At the end of this course and student will be able to apply the metodology into the area of social pedagogy. He/she will be able to creative work in the area of projecting and research.
Syllabus
  • Intercultural education – significance and mission in context of time. Interculturalism as a future challenge. Migration – history and present, migrating strangers comming to our land. Ethnic minorities in our republic, brief characteristic. Roma question, status of Roma people in our society, Roma nation and it is social cituation in majority enviroment. Anti-Semitism as neverending hate towards Jewish people, history, present, future. Discrimination of of some groups in society (homosexual minorities, discrimination of women, displays of intoleration towards handicaped people, extremism). Religion – searching for common, empathy and toleration. Education to tolerance and against racism as indispensable part of helping proffessions.
