Course objectives

Learning outcomes of the course - the aim of the subject is to combine knowledge from the field of pharmacology with the awareness of the context of drug use in the population. An essential prerequisite is the acquisition of basic terminology in the field of epidemiology. The knowledge of pharmacovigilance is also part of the subject. The subject is primarily intended for DSP students practicing at the hospital departments of clinical pharmacy.

Learning outcomes (in Czech)

Znalosti základních epidemiologických pojmů a metod. Znalosti nástrojů k hodnocení spotřeby léčiv. Znalosti o designování farmakoepidemiologických studií. Povědomí o jejich limitech. Znalosti farmakovigilančních nástrojů. Schopnost kritického posouzení terapeutické hodnoty/rizika léčiva v kontextu dané populace.
