Degree programme: Archaeology Course: Computer Technology I Level: First cycle of the five-year Mgr. programme Language of instruction: Czech Teaching: 4 hours seminar per week Duration: 1 semester Credits: A4 Assessment: 2 tests Course description: Practice with the operating system Windows and with the word processing programme Word. Syllabus
  • 1. Summary of the subject Computer Technology I A 2. Data model of the relational database. Relational tables. Filter and sort data in the relational database. 3. Queries. Creating of queries. Select query. Query Wizard. Queries with join related data sources 4. Reports from database. 5. Import, export a to and from database. 6. Introduction in the work with spreadsheets. Microsoft Excel 7. Cells, columns and rows. Add date into tables. Moving in the tables. 8. Filtering, sorting, and conditionally formatting data 9. Charts. 10. Statistical analysis in Microsoft Excel. Histogram. 11. Working on own database 1. 12. Working on own database 2. 13. Working on own database 3. 14. Working on own database 4. 15. Summary and test.
