Course objectives
The aim of the course is to give the students an opportunity to train a number of different presentation formats that will be useful for their studies. The seminars will provide a secure environment for everybody to learn from the class interaction, from the formative feedback and from the videos of their own presentations. The course will provide students with materials and tips for study and self-reflection, as well as train them to politely critique each others' work.
Learning outcomes
Students will be able to present in different formats and settings, especially the academic environment. Besides basic power point presentation skills, they will gain knowledge of poster presentations and the writing of accompanying abstracts and summaries.

Teaching methods
The course is designed as a set of practical seminars. After thorough self-reflection regarding presentation skills, the students will try a variety of presentation formats, such as the elevator pitch, pecha-kucha, poster presentation and academic presentation.
The course will involve weekly (on-line) presenting, allowing students to gain a portfolio of video recordings of their presentations by the end of the course.
The seminars will consist of feedback from peers as well as the teacher on both the language and presentation aspects of the student's performance.
Assessment methods
Students will work on a portfolio of presentations and written assignments and will deliver a final presentation at a "mock conference".
