Course objectives
The aim of the course is to improve the language and communicative competences based on the practice of listening and reading with understanding. The emphasis is put on the active use of Russian language both in written and oral forms, the ability of communication in everyday life situations and the quick expression on one of discussed topics with using new vocabulary.
Learning outcomes
After finishing the course, the student will be able:
to work with publicistic and literary texts in Russian;
to debate about one of discussed topics, to argue his opinion;
to make Russian sentence correctly from phonetical, lexical and grammatical point of view and to express an opinion in Russian with using new vocabulary in writing and orally;
to independently work with the texts on mentioned topics based on the acquired knowledge.

Teaching methods
The main requirement is to be actively involved in the seminar, it is complemented with submitting essays on chosen topics. Discussion, interpretation of read and heard text, group work, group projects. Home work.

Essay, a presentation on the chosen topic.
