Course objectives
This course should enable students who are already advanced in the mastery of argumentation to become familiar with the difficulties and rigours of public speaking, to practice writing and to pursue the analysis of texts.
Learning outcomes
-Consolidation and extension of the language skills and cultural knowledge - speaking The students should master the summary of several written documents.

Teaching methods
Lecture: exposition and definitions of basic terms and their exemplification on different types of specific text (and recordings), proceeding from diverse registers. Seminar: application of theoretical knowledge on authentic texts (recordings). During their presentations students show their ability to interconnect on their own their theoretical knowledge and practical analysis of a specific text.
Assessment methods
The assessment of the course is divided into two parts: one theoretical to check the learning of the course elements (50% of the final mark); the other practical (50% of the final mark). As this is a continuous assessment of knowledge, there will be no final exam.
