Course objectives
In this seminar, we want to build on the methods and knowledge that students have acquired in the course Economic German for Translators I. We will cover the General Terms and Conditions. We will look at the lexical and substantive specifics of individual passages of form contracts on documents from different areas (e.g. hotel, publishing, wine, flower or shoe sales), We will analyse translations made using classical methods and compare them with results obtained using artificial intelligence. A course in Elf is available for this course. At the end of the term there is a written test checking the vocabulary the students acquired during this course.
