- Course objectives
- The seminars focus on reading and translation of texts in the field of psychology. The texts are a selection from specialised literature in the field, mainly authored by the greatest figures in psychology who have written in German (e.g. C. G. Jung, A. Adler, S. Freud). The course is based on the textbook German for Students of Psychology.
- Syllabus
- The texts are supplemented by lists of vocabulary including both general and specialised lexical items, which are then followed by lexical exercises, grammatical exercises focusing on particular morphological phenomena (revision of noun and adjectival declinations, passive voice, the conjunctive), syntactic patterns (various types of compound and complex sentences). Each lesson ends with a translation exercise from Czech into German and conversation tasks covering the topic of the introductory text.
