- Italian literature in the the 20th century (first part).
The course aims at providing a general knowledge of the most renowned authors in Italian literature from late 19th Century till World War II.
Italská literatura 20. století (1. část). Cílem kurzu je poskytnout všeobecný přehled autorů a literárních směrů od konce 19. století po druhou světovou válku. - Syllabus
- You should be familiar with the following authorsm works and topics (to be studied on Ferroni's History of literature or an equivalent): Giuseppe Giacosa; decadentism; Gabriele D'Annunzio; Crepuscolarismo; Guido Gozzano; "La Voce" and the writers who were connected with this review; Dino Campana; Sibilla Aleramo; Italo Svevo; Luigi Pirandello; ermetism; Giuseppe Ungaretti; Umberto Saba; Salvatore Quasimodo; Eugenio Montale. You should also be familiar with ALL the excerpts that were read during lectures and any other author that was eventually dealt with during the course.
