Course objectives
Analysis and practice of basic morphological and syntactic phenomena of the normative grammar necessary for understanding basic Latin texts.
Syllabus
  • Lessons 12-16 of the given textbook are covered: Morphology: gerund and gerundive; participles; supine; numerals. Syntax: independent uses of the subjunctive mood, consecutive clauses; participle constructions; periphrastic conjugation; ablative absolute; uses of accusative and nominative in subordinate clauses; gerundive constructions.

Assessment methods
Contents of the semester:
class exercises, two semestral tests.
Requirements for credit:
regular attendance at seminars (75%) and successful score in a written test where knowledge of relevant grammar is examined.
