- Cíle předmětu
- This course is intended as a follow-up to Methodology I. It combines: (a) practical components such as classroom techniques (back chaining, dictogloss, timelines, eliciting, concept checking, TTT, PPP etc), (b) theoretical issues such as past and present methodologies, first and second language acquisition, input-intake-output, multiple intelligences, consructionism, (c) considerable attention is also paid to language itself, the nature of vocabulary, grammar and pronunciation, notions and functions, (d) an awareness of the field of ELT as a career. The ultimate aim is to produce graduates who will be well-equipped with skills and knowledge to begin a career in English language teaching in secondary schools.
