- Course objectives
- 1. Students will have gained a deeper knowledge and understanding of the cultures of the Chinese world. 2. Students will have developed new insights into the nature of language and culture that will allow them to establish comparisons not only between languages, but also between the Chinese cultures and their own.

- Detailed schedule please find in the "study materials" of this course. Text book-Find in Study Materials: *The author of the textbook is Zhōu Yúshān, Wáng yǎxuān, Yè Pèiyú.
- Teaching methods
- The course is taught by a native speaker who combines various methods of teaching - class discussion, conversations and oral presentations.
- Assessment methods (in Czech)
- Evaluation Method 1) Attendance : 30% 1 unexcused absence allowed during the semester. 2) Discussion: 30% Before every class, students should go to watch the clip video (please go to IS/ Study Material). We will talk about the clip video in the class. Besides, students should participate in class discussion aggressively. 3) Presentation: 40% The presentation should be in cultural comparison way. You can choose the cultural point from this semester or anything you believe that is interesting and worth to share. You should use Chinese when you give the presentation. The length of presentation should be longer than 15 minutes. Besides, you should consult with teacher about their presentation at least one time before 23 Nov.
