Course objectives
The goal of this course is cognitive preparation of students for receiving a source message, strengthen of their goal-directed speech production and also to teach students ways how to interpret simple sentences between Czech and Czech Sign Language.
Learning outcomes
When passing this course, student will know how to translate simple sentences between Czech and Czech Sign Language. Students will also understand both of them.
Syllabus
  • 1. Analysis and interpretation of the source message using source and target language (Czech, Czech Sign Language).
  • 2. Translating of simple sentences from Czech into Czech Sign Language.
  • 3. Translating of simple sentences from Czech Sign Language into Czech.
  • 4. Translating of simple questions from Czech into Czech Sign Language.
  • 5. Translating of simple questions from Czech Sign Language into Czech.
  • 6. The basic principles and strategies of interpreting between Czech and Czech Sign Language
