- Course objectives
- This course is an introduction to the issues of research adult education. It enables the students to understand the process of empirical scholarly attitude to reality. It examines the difference between the qualitative and quantitative research and provides students with basic insight into the pros and cons of various methodological procedures, their validity and reliability. At the end of the course students should be able to: critically evaluate adequacy of the research design and evaluate methodological relevance of the research.

Recommendations for students: This course is intended primarily (but not exclusively) for students who have not completed methodological preparation as part of their bachelor's studies, either in programs offered by the ÚPV FF MU, or in another corresponding study (sociology or psychology studies tend to have a comparable standard). The course's main content is the individual study of selected research reports. Teaching will take place in selected Friday blocks twice per semester. Dates will be specified before the start of the semester.
