Course objectives
After completing the course, students will be able to search for and understand relevant information on water resources, groundwater and surface water exploition, the extent of water resource protection zones and other information relevant to water management, obtained in public databases.
Learning outcomes
Upon completion of the course the student will be able to:
- search public databases for information on water abstractions and abstraction areas
search public databases for information on water bodies and rivers/streams with relevant protection
search public databases for hydrometeorological data relevant to water management
search for information and data to solve a specific water management task
process data from public databases into a suitable sub-report.
Syllabus
  • Databases and their administrators
  • Up-to-dateness of databases
  • Searching in databases managed by the Ministry of Agriculture and Ministry of Environment
  • Searching in other databases (CGS, VUV, etc.)
  • Searching for CHMI data
  • Processing relevant data to solve a specific problem, compiling the data into a project.
Literature
  • Doporučená literatura bude zahrnovat vzorové projekty, které budou uloženy ve studijních mteriálech.
Teaching methods
practical exercises, independent work on the project.
Assessment methods
defence of an independent project focused on data processing for a specific problem.
Náhradní absolvování
The course can be taken after returning from a trip abroad in the form of self-study and subsequent preparation of a project.
