Course objectives
The lecture presents the basic knowledge on fungal cytology, anatomy, morphology and physiology (on the levels of fungal cell, vegetative thallus and reprodustion structures), complemented with notes on the origin, nomenclature, determination and conservation of fungi.

  • 1. Delimitation of terms "fungi" and "mycology" 2. Historical occurrence and theories about origin of fungi 3. Fungal cell 4. Feeding and contents of fungal body 5. Hyfhae and vegetative thallus 6. Reproduction of fungi 7. Fungal genetics 8. Carpophores of fungi 9. Spores of fungi 10. Nomenclature of fungi 11. Collecting, determination and conservation of fungi
