- Course objectives
- In this semester we shall study the book of N. Koblitz "p-adic numbers, p-adic analysis, and zeta-functions".
At the end of this course, students should be able to: work in a complete field with respect to a non-Archimedian norm, construct a p-adic interpolation of a suitable function defined on a subset of Z, the set of rational integers. - Syllabus
- 1. p-adic numbers;
- 2. p-adic interpolation of the Riemann zeta-function;
- 3. building up Omega, the p-adic analog of complex numbers;
- 4. p-adic power series.
