Course objectives
In this semester we shall continue in reading the book Number Theory written by Z.I.Borevič and I.R.Šafarevič.
Learning outcomes
At the end of this course, students should be able to: master the basic notions of algebraic number theory; understand the methods used in this theory.

  • The group of units of an order; Representation of rational numbers by full decomposable form; Classes of modules; Ideal class group of a maximal order.
