Course objectives
The aim of the course is to acquaint students with the basic technologies that influence the environment, as well as with selected instruments of environmental protection.
Learning outcomes
At the end of the course students should be able to:
- understand the environemntal impact of anthropogennic technologies
- describe the main types of technologies which affect the environment
- understand the main technological principles for the providing of clean air, water tretment and purification, waste disposal
- characterize and discuss the principles of the best available techniques and best environemntal practices and also to the disposal of the persistent substances and waste with their contents
- know the methods applicable for the remediation of contaminated soils and sediments
