Basic skills in work with computer and basic knowledge of programming in Turbo Pascal is assumed.

Course objectives
Introduction. Automation of measurements. Detectors of physical quantities. HP-IB (IMS2) interface. Serial and parallel ports. Modern mesurement devices - A/D and D/A convertors. Programming techniques for the control of experiments. Computer networks, databases, archives.
