- Main objectives of this course is to to alow student to understand the conception of life, characters of living organisms. Student will be able to explain functions of tissues, organs and the animal life cycle and reproduction.
- Syllabus
- Histology and organology - Summary The course consists of 12 theoretical lectures and 12 practical exercises. The content is basically separated in three parts: baseline emryology (1 lecture), general histology (5 lectures) and organology - microscope anatomy of vertebrates (6 lectures). The practical exercises are focused namely on microscopic examination of preparated samples, associated with the mentioned topics. Embryology General histology - different types of tissues, their characteristics, markers and descrioptive examination, origin and associated functionality, structure. Organology. cardiovascular system, blood and immune system, respiratory systems, urinary and excretion organs / systems, GIT, nervous systems (both central and peripheral components and sensoric organs/tissues), reproductiove systems, body coverage, skin. Endocrinous systems and regulatory systems in general. Ontogenetic origin and development of the specified systems and tissues, structure and functions.
