- Bi1090 Phylog. & diver. algae & fungi ||SOUHLAS
Finishing of course "Phylogeny and diversity of algae and fungi" (or equal course of another university), which is followed by this one. - Course Enrolment Limitations
- The course is also offered to the students of the fields other than those the course is directly associated with.
- fields of study / plans the course is directly associated with
- Phycology and Mycology (programme PřF, N-BOT)
- Course objectives
- Survey of cyanobacteria, algae and fungi as well as other fungi-like organisms according to contemporary knowledge of their phylogenesis. Procaryotic and Eucaryotic cell structure, karyological differences, differences in reproduction process. Algal system based on endosymbiotic theory, classifying in several kingdoms of organisms. Systematic position of the groups of fungi and fungi-like organisms, their classifying in kingdoms. For each group: cell structure, the structure of cell compartiments, reproduction mode, main habitats, most important representatives, their role in ecosystems and practical use.
- Learning outcomes
- Main outcomes can be summarized as follows:
to give the survey of current knowledge in systematics of presented groups of organisms;
to afford information sources, from which students can gather the knowledge;
to help in learning for state examination (the topic "system and evolution of algae and fungi"). - Syllabus
