- Course objectives
- Marketing and Fund-raising (KVMAFU) The course follows the knowledge gained in the course Communication and Public Relations (PR) because marketing, fund-raising and PR already are self-contained practical areas that use communication as their tool. The course places emphasis on conveying the specifics of marketing of non-profit or public sector. Apart from the analysis of the individual marketing steps recommended for application of marketing thinking in the process of non-profit organisation management, attention is given to state-of-the-art "marketing-management", the marketing system of organisation and marketing aspects of the Fribourg model of management for non-profit organisations. Another thematic area of the course are the problems of fund-raising theory and practice. The course moves from the basic theories of fund-raising and its understanding as a planned essential process in the life of every non-profit organisation as far as to the description and practical adoption of the individual fund-raising methods, accentuating the most the written application for a grant. Examination requirement: write a seminar essay. Examination: oral with a discussion of the seminar essay.
