- Course objectives
- Main objectives can be summarized as follows:
to gain the knowledge of the contruction of the large information systems;
to understand the difference between programming in large and programming in small;
to understand functional models, data models and time-dependent behaviour models;
to understand structered analysis;
to understand Yourdon modern structured analysis method;
to understand structured design;
to understand basic principles of object oriented analysis and design. - Syllabus
- Programming in large. Empirical laws.
- Project life cycle.
- Requirements analysis and specification. Common criteria, modeling tools.
- Functional models, data flow diagrams, minispecification.
- Data models. Data dictionary, entity relationship diagrams.
- Time-dependent behaviour models. State transition diagrams and control data flow diagrams.
- E.Yourdon - Modern structured analysis. Development of the balanced essencial model.
- Structured design (principles, criteria), JSD, JSP. Other structered methods (SSADM, SASS) in comparison to YMSA.
- Object Oriented Analysis and Design. UML
