The participation and the completing of the course Private International Law I is the basic prerequisite for the registration of the Private International Law II. Passing through the course in Civil Law and Business Law can be seen as a favourable prerequisite for the students from other faculties. - Course Enrolment Limitations

- Course objectives
- The course Private International Law II is focused on the international procedure law, european international procedure law and international arbitration law. At the end of this course the student should be able to understand the system of rules applicable in this area, should be able to explain the jurisdiction of the national courts in cases with foreign element, should be able to analyze the conditions for the recognition and enforcement of the judgment issued by foreign courts. He should be able to explain the differences between the international arbitration procedure, ADR and litigation. He will be able to formulate the arbitration agreement and to explain as the arbitration procedure as the enforcement of the arbitral award.
- Syllabus
- EU private international law. Sources of the european international private law. Civil jurisdiction and judgments (history, outline, scope, domicile, jurisdiction, recognition and enforcemnt of judments). Other conventions and regulations creating the european judicial area. International arbitration law. International arbitration agreement. The applicable law. The arbitral proceeding. The arbitral award. The enforcement and the recognition of the foreign arbitration award.
