- Course objectives
- The aim of this course is to provide the theoretical knowledge in the area copyright protection. The attention is paid to international, European and domestic copyright protection.
- Learning outcomes
- After the successful completion of this course the student should have the understanding of basic principles of copyright proctection and should be able to take the appropriate legal steps in the area of legal protection of intangible assets.

- 1. International Copyright Protection 2. European Union Copyright Protection, Decisions of the CJEU 3. Basic notions of Czech Copyright Protection (author`s work, authorship, personal rights, economic rights) 4. Copyright licences, Limitations of Copyright 5. Neighbouring rights (Rights of Performers), Collective Enforcement 6. Database Protection in the EU

- Lectures are held for a minimum of 5 students. With smaller number of students attending the course, lectures are replaced with tutorials. Reading list will be given by the course co-ordinator at the fist lecture or tutorial. The examination has a written form. Examination - credit requirements: 1. Semester paper 2. Discussion on the semester paper
