Course objectives
The subject is supported by possibility of consultations with authors of individual topics. It provides surveys of current trends in pharmacotherapy of pain, carcinomas, heart failure, hypertension, respiratory diseases, and in paediatric and elderly patients.

  • Clinically relevant drug-drug interactions Pharmacotherapy of thromboembolic disease Pharmacotherapy of heart failure and acute coronary syndrome Treatment of renal and hepatic insufficiency Treatment of hypertension - simply and effectively Pharmacotherapy in Diabetes Mellitus Pharmacotherapy in oncology Presentation of case reports Pharmacotherapy in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and bronchial asthma Principles of antibiotics treatment in the ICU Colloquium (Department of Pharmacology)

Teaching methods
During the studying the students can acquire the knowledge of clinical pharmacology at the lectures given by professionals in the sectors.
Assessment methods
The students have to pass the colloquium. The final multiple-choice test consists out of 27 questions. Minimum 19 of the test questions have to be answered correctly.
