Course objectives
Students should be able to correctly interpret any information relating to safety of food and ready to eat food in relation to health care settings.
Learning outcomes
The student will be able to synthesize thinking in relation to current issues of food safety.
Syllabus
  • Examples of an unsafe food including food supplements
  • Evidence-based outbreaks of foodbrone infection and poisoning
  • Prevention and control of food risks
  • Control of food quality and safety in the area of foodstuffs intended for particular nutritional uses.
