Course objectives
In the sphere of psychiatry the students are getting acquainted with history and organization of psychiatry. General psychiatry is focused on clinical manifestation and treatment of the most important psychiatric disorders (affective disorders, schizophrenia, dementia, personality disorders neurotic and stress-related disorders) and issues of child psychatry and old age psychiatry. The next education proceeds in obligatory seminars involving eating disorders, psychotherapeutic techniques (art therapy, relaxation techniques etc.)and psychiatric sexology.
Syllabus
  • Introduction to psychopharmacotherapy, antidepressants, antipsychotics, antipsychotic medication in children - indications, ethics. Voluntary behavior disorders, dementia and their treatment.
