- Course objectives
- After completing this seminar the students are able to interpret differences in pronunciation between German and Czech vowels, diphthongs, consonants and characterize typical pronunciation mistakes made by Czech native speakers.
- Learning outcomes
- The student gains an overview of the system of German phones. He knows how to express the difference in pronunciation between Czech and German vowels, diphthongs, and consonants. He can characterize mistakes in pronunciation of Czech native speakers in German language.

- 1. Pronunciation practice of German vowels, diphthongs and consonants with stress on phonemes missing in Czech 2. German stress 3. Reduction in German pronunciation 4. Work on vocabulary and grammar from the phonetic point of view
